As partners to a proud Indigenous community, we’ve been educated about some of the challenges facing Indigenous peoples in Canada. In seeking ways to honour and support Indigenous youth, one path is through fundraising and we’ve identified three organizations doing excellent work in the Wood Buffalo region and beyond – Spirit North, Indspire and Legacy of Hope Foundation. Paragon will match up to $5,000 of donations, in honour of the victims and survivors of residential schools, and in support of the proud generation of youth now developing. Métis Cultural Awareness Training

On May 7, 2021, Fort McMurray Métis graciously provided our staff with a fun and informative Métis Cultural Awareness training session. Thank you to Melanie Walsh and Bryan Fayant for taking the time to connect and educate. Our staff enjoyed learning the history of Métis people, seeing the success of the summer student program, and cooking with Kokum Ann Michalko (please adopt us).
